ABOUT US

We love bikes, and we love our neighborhood. We sell bikes, we fix bikes, and we help get everybody up on their own ride.  We take care of our neighbors in Dignowity, Denver Heights, Eastside, Downtown, and Southtown.

Who we are

We’re a community bike shop located on East Commerce at North Mesquite. We’re in a neighborhood where people take their bikes seriously, relying on them for transportation, exercise, and fun. We consider it our responsibility to make sure everyone can own a bike that meets their needs.

Bike Sales and Advice

We sell new bikes at pretty much all price points; we sell used bikes that deliver good value for the money; and we collect and donate used bikes for kids.

While we can get pretty much any bike that is sold in other bike stores, we specialize in State bikes. We like them because they’re solidly built, they’re reasonably priced, and they’re available in all kinds of styles.

There are a lot of different bike models — single gear, fixed gear, three-speed, ten- speed, road bike, mountain bike — and we’ll help you find the bike that’s right for you.

BIKE REPAIRS AND MAINTENANCE

Once you’ve got a bike, we keep you on the road.
We’re here when you need a tire repaired, when your chain breaks, or when you damage something. If you need your bike for transportation, we’ll do our best to turn it around in the same day. In most cases, we’ll have the parts on-hand; when we don’t, we can usually get them overnight from our warehouse in Dallas.

We can also give your bike an annual checkup and tuning. We can tighten the chains, check all the bolts and the brakes, adjust the gears — basically, we make sure that your bike is good to go for another year. You should do this every year, just for safety, not to mention for reliability. We typically have a rush of checkups in the spring, when people want to get back on the road again. We recommend that you beat the rush and get your checkup done sometime during the winter.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

From our first day in business, we took seriously our responsibility to this neighbor-hood. Part of that is just providing bikes that everyone can afford, services that are reasonably priced, and advice on the picking the right bike.

But we also try to keep involved in other ways.

The single thing we’re most proud of is our involvement in Cycle It Forward, a program where we accept donations of good quality bikes, we fix them up, and we give them to neighborhood kids. Every kid should have a bike when growing up — it’s fun, it’s healthy, and it gets them outdoors.

BIKE SALES AND ADVICE
We sell new bikes at pretty much all price points; we sell used bikes that deliver good value for the money; and we collect and donate used bikes for kids.

While we can get pretty much any bike that is sold in other bike stores, we specialize in bikes from State Bicycle Company. We like them because they’re solidly built, they’re reasonably priced, and they’re available in all kinds of styles.

There are a lot of different bike models — single gear, fixed gear, three-speed, ten-speed, road bike, mountain bike — and we’ll help you find the bike that’s right for you.

PURCHASING IN A STORE VERSUS ONLINE

You may have noticed that most bikes can be purchased online these days, but there’s a clear advantage to buying your bike through Level Up. If you buy a State bike (or any other bike) online, you’ll have to pay for shipping and — if you want a warranty — you’ll probably have to pay to have a bike mechanic assemble it.

When you buy from us, the shipping is free and so is the assembly. You’ll save $100 or more.

We have bikes for everyone.

We sell new bikes at pretty much all price points, plus we sell used bikes that deliver good value for the money.

We can get just about any bike brand that is sold in other stores, but we specialize in bikes from State Bicycle Company. We like them because they’re solidly built, they’re reasonably priced, and they’re available in all kinds of styles.

We can help you pick the bike that's right for you.
